Board Meeting Minutes

Present:  Sue Brown, Cassandra Rozycki, Pat Rhodes, Mike Wilson, Mike Stiles, Lawrence Giannetti, Tom Navaro, Robin Bensen-Harvey, Mary Zemansky, Cecilia Bernal, Jim Nickerson

Sue Brown called the meeting to order at 7:10 pm

Update on Slager medical condition

President's Report (Brown)

Timing System

• Stiles made a motion to increase the timing fee effective 1/1/2005 to $40 per event payable to race timer.  Second by Navaro.  Approved.
• $100 timing fee for all non Gold Cup events effective immediately
• $50 for equipment fee, $50 to race timer
• Define responsibilities to race directors
• Find assistant or backup individual

OE

• billed $570 for 2004 memberships
• continuing for 2005

Christmas Party

• December 10 6:00-10:00
• $10 adult, $6 kids
• Ornament exchange
• DJ so plan on staying late
• Table decorations purchased
• Invitation will be in Oct/Nov INSTEP, handed out with GC premium, posted on web site, and on display at Strider table

Marathon Water Stop

• Recap provided by Rhodes and Nickerson
• Need for printed directions and instructions to volunteers
• Improve communication to members via website instructions
• Select assistant or team captains to assist Rhodes
• 168 volunteers from Striders
• No food was provided, need next year (Rozycki - Panera)

Gold Cup Series Fee

• Bernal motioned to raise Gold Cup Fee to $21 starting 2005 to account for increase in dinner expense.  Second by Zemanski.  Motion approved.
• 2005 GC Series applications due 11/7 from race directors - info on line
• CDC paid 2004 GC fee
• Vote on races for series at November meeting

Taxes

• 11/15 submission

INSTEP (Brown)

• Distribution postponed until Fall Frolic (11/14) - double issue
• Submissions due (11/1)

VP Report (Rozycki)

Slager Quilt

• Total cost came to $284.00
• Additional $40 b/c shirts were oversized

Wind-shirts are at Graphic 22

• 2 color pocket logo
• 250 units at $2.35 each = $587.50
• Picking up Friday evening
• Distributing at Omni on Saturday
• Balance due ($533) - receiving 50% credit ($260) for late arrival

• Status of existing one set up at Coffee Creek - tabled
