	CRS BOARD MEETING MINUTES July 2002 Present: Rody Dodd, (Race Director for the Bob Stevens Race), Sue Brown, Cecilia Bernal, Linda Kovacs, Jayne Willis, Karen Lansdowne, Rudy Moyado, Mike Steele, Big Hal Slager, Diane Kellenburger, Pat Rhodes, Carolyn Vander Velde Not Present: No minutes to approve. Minutes/General Business: Corrected to reflect $250 deposit on Family Life Center Hall – approved. Rody Dodd appreciated being “chosen” to be race director! Imagine that. He prepared a list of volunteers needed. Sue will see that the Pancakers get a copy and between the two boards we will fill the list. Karen will get the apps printed. Brickyard Race evaluation. Poor. A letter of probation will go to race director. Jayne’s Race evaluation. Excellent. Applause applause. Runevent.com has apparently disappeared off the face of the earth. Clarification of new age categories for Gold Cup. 0-8, 9-11, 12-14, 15-18. Those under age 14 only need to do 5 races to qualify for awards. $1000 was received from Joe Mis for our volunteer efforts at the AAU meet. THANK YOU JOE! Motion was passed to spend up to $500 on an Audiovox bullhorn. The Chicago Marathon entry form will include a $2 for GC members if sent by mail only – not on line. Fleece headbands were decided for GC premiums. Found at a website called promoart.com. Hal needs help with computer stuff as November approaches. He will put Strider Survivor party on website with link to Diane Kellenburger. Cecilia will be Sue for the next 2 races. She distributed an updated financial report. EXCELLENT! We now know what we have and what we can spend. New $100 sponsor is Russell Dillon of Professional Land Surveying. Jayne & Linda’s Christmas Party. Board chose Turkey at $7.50 per plate, $281.25 deposit for caterer, $1.00 for awards and price of $10 per adult and $5 for kids under 12. Rest of plan unanimously approved. Blurb to appear in newsletters and on website starting now. Next meeting August 15.
