I've been running competitively since 1986 and have completed over 600 races including 11 marathons. I have been a Strider member since 2000 and have earned a Gold cup award each year and the Jim Cox award the past two years. Besides running the Gold Cup races, I run many of the races in the CARA circuit.

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Chicago State University including earning an Illinois Teaching Certificate. I also have a Masters of Education degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. I have been teaching for the past 18 years at Immaculate Heart of Mary High School in Westchester, Illinois. I’m the Science Department Chairperson and I also teach Biology and Chemistry. During the summer months, I work as an Assistant Director of a 5000 acre outdoor youth camp in Twin Lake, Michigan.
