The Chair of this committee is responsible to:

Consider all persons whose names are suggested for election or re-election to membership on the Board of Directors,
Nominate qualified persons for election or re-election to membership on the Board of Directors,
Nominate members of the Board of Directors to serve as officers of the corporation,
Nominate qualified persons for appointment to the Advisory Council by the Board of Directors,
Initiate, consider, draft and make recommendations on proposed amendments to the Bylaws and Articles of Incorporation of the Corporation, and
Evaluate and oversee both the application process and the distribution of funds to recipients for the Stevens-Hamilton Disabled Runners Fund.

I have been running since 1996, did my first marathon in 2000 and I have competed in more than 10 marathons plus numerous half marathons and other races. I moved to Valpo in 8/2002 to attend law school and remained in the area after graduation in 12/2004. I joined CRS in 2006 near the end of the year and then completed my first full year including Gold Cup Series and the Long Distance Series in 2007.

I have attended several board meetings this past year and served on the Gold Cup series committee to select the 2008 schedule. I really enjoy the organization and want to be more involved. I have been treasurer for several other organizations in the past and have a degree in accounting.

Other than running I enjoy reading, sewing, watching sports in person and on tv. I currently live with my significant other (a non-runner). I have four children ranging in age from 19-26.

I welcome the opportunity to serve on the CRS board and I can assure you that I will fulfill the duties and obligations with diligence.
